How to Use Facebook Lookalike Audiences

A Lookalike Audience is a way to reach new people who are likely to be interested in your business because they're similar to your best existing customers. SharpSpring Ads allows you to create Lookalike audiences for your Facebook campaigns, allowing you to target users similar to your own customers, but haven't been to your website yet.

That's right! Lookalike Audiences allow you to target users who may not be aware of your product or service, allowing you to reach even more potential customers with your SharpSpring Ads retargeting campaigns.

How to Use Lookalike Audiences
First, you'll need to ensure your Facebook Page is connected to your SharpSpring Ads account. This guide will assist you with this process.

Next, create a new Facebook campaign or edit an existing Facebook campaign.

In step one where you select your audiences, find the "Lookalike" button next to the audience you'd like to create a Lookalike Audience for. 

Note: Facebook Lookalike Audiences can be created from source audiences of 1,000 users or greater. You will not be able to create a Lookalike Audience from an audience under 1,000 in size.

Click the Lookalike button to begin creating your audience.

This will bring up a menu asking you to select the country you wish to target with your Lookalike Audience.

Note: You can only choose one country per Lookalike Audience. You can create multiple audiences for multiple countries, but multiple countries cannot be included in one audience. Meaning, you could create a Lookalike Audience for USA, another for CA, and another for MX, but you could not have one audience that includes users from all three countries.

Click Create Lookalike when you're done.

Your Lookalike Audience has been created! The audience will automatically be targeted once you create it.

Click Save and Submit Campaign when you're done. 

That's it! Your Lookalike audience is now being targeted in your Facebook campaign.
